                <p>As a humble watchman in these last days, I’ve learned that <strong>contention is a trap</strong> — even when our heart starts out right.</p>
<p>I recently engaged with a teacher online, thinking perhaps we could reason together — maybe even sharpen one another in humility. But what I saw was this:</p>
<ul>
<li>Long, complicated teachings that lacked clear fruit</li>
<li>Dodging simple questions with pride</li>
<li>Nasty replies that sought to attack, not edify</li>
<li>A “viper spirit” of defensiveness and superiority</li>
</ul>
<p>Even though I asked simple questions, not boasting — I quickly saw how EASY it is to get drawn into a spirit of <strong>conte
