	<h5>History of the Trust</h5> 
      <p>In 2008 the <strong>Nene Valley Care Trust</strong> was set up by three 
        local people whose experience as county councillors and magistrates showed 
        them that the needs of young people leaving the care system were not being 
        fully met. They recruited a dedicated team of Trustees to direct the work 
        of the Trust, whose aim is to support young people leaving local authority 
        care in Northamptonshire and the wider Nene Valley area.</p>
      <p>The Trust is an independent registered charity which works in partnership 
        with <strong>Northamptonshire County Council</strong> and <strong>Peterborough 
        City Council</strong>. It funds projects outside the scope of each council&#8217;s 
        statutory duties and beyond the reach of local government budgets. The 
        councils allows access to the care leavers and the Trust provides the 
        extra assistance that is vital to help them gain work or to progress their 
        education or training. Young care leavers often lack confidence, lead 
        chaotic lives and experience mental health and social isolation issues, 
        but we have proved that with our help they can achieve their goals and 
        become fulfilled citizens.</p>
      <p><strong>Right Resolution</strong><br>
        The work on these projects is carried out for the Trust by Right Resolution, 
        a local Community Interest Company with a wealth of experience in dealing 
        with care leavers and those in care. Their project work includes supporting 
        and mentoring the young people, working with local colleges and universities 
        to assist the young people in finding training courses and practical careers 
        and approaching employers to gain apprenticeships, training or employment 
        in local businesses. Care leavers on our projects are also encouraged 
        to join the 16+ schemes (separately funded) in both council areas to participate 
        in Group Activities.</p>
